I still can't figure out which recipe I used and loved last year so I'm trying to find a good one to share.

Grammie - Nice to "see" you here. The tilapia is my all time favorite, I highly recommend it.

Amy - thanks for the invite. I wasn't ready to post yet on Friday but I will participate in the future. I'd love to talk chickens with you, I know of some breeds that might actually do well in your location.

Ruth - This meal planning thing is great! I am absolutely sold on it after one week. I hate going to the grocery store and rarely go now. I've figured out it is easier to let Brian buy milk at the meat market each week. Even though the price is higher there than at the regular store I would end up spending so much going in that it saves in the long run.

As for hay, we baled 20 square bales before the heavens opened up and we got poured on. Luckily it didn't last long and the hay dried again very fast. After a couple days we could bale the rest. We've sold almost 800 bales already and Brian cut a bunch more today. I love this time of year when the bills stop coming and money starts coming instead!Jenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15171797412090628520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7630316697430231000.post-26234091953203967612009-06-20T22:22:35.666-04:002009-06-20T22:22:35.666-04:00Wow! Now, it seems I'm at the grocery store every other day! Ugh!

You're making hay? We've had a week straight of RAIN and are dying to get some hay in! It's cold and wet . . . terrible hay weather!Everydaywomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18177067303981498522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7630316697430231000.post-42834256482423830212009-06-18T23:29:48.214-04:002009-06-18T23:29:48.214-04:00Hi Jena,

Tomorrow will be day 4 of the Shred for me (which I too bought with swagbucks!) and I'm going to be having a Mr Linky for any fitness or Shred related post tomorrow (Friday, which will be the inaugural carnival). If you're interested in linking up stop by.

Took a quick peak at your blog and am I ever jealous of your chickens! I'm still trying to figure out how I can keep chickens here (I live in Quebec, Canada) when we get around 5-6' (yes, FEET!) of snow each winter and cold, COLD temperatures. We don't have a heated garage, so that's out.

My husband's with the Canadian Foreign Service, and we're hoping to be posted to an embassy in Africa in a few years... I'll get chickens then FOR SURE!

Anyways, if you're interested: www.muddybootsblog.blogspot.com

If not, good luck with your Shred!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07573136626710844845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7630316697430231000.post-32886508453043622009-06-18T17:43:49.518-04:002009-06-18T17:43:49.518-04:00Welcome to MMP, I didn't get a menu up this we...Welcome to MMP, I didn't get a menu up this week, I've been busy and uninspired. Your Talapia & Homemade Chicken Nuggets sound really good, they could be on my menu for next week.Debrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13911689022641094207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7630316697430231000.post-89754667067869920712009-06-16T17:22:55.863-04:002009-06-16T17:22:55.863-04:00Rhubarb muffin recipe, please :)Rhubarb muffin recipe, please :)Farmer's Daughterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04993260095409544097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7630316697430231000.post-14940244198031375482009-06-15T22:10:17.507-04:002009-06-15T22:10:17.507-04:00I like to make a batch early in the week for quick...I like to make a batch early in the week for quick, relatively healthy breakfasts.
